I don’t like the “Twitter Tag Project: FollowFriday!” idea of randomly choosing your followers and making them your #followfriday names. I put a lot of thought into my FF list – they must be reasonably active on a certain topic if I add them to one of my topic lists (#birders, #photog, #fitness, etc). I think it makes my recommendations more useful. What do others think?

Good point Stephen. However, given that the Twitter Tag Project analyzes your tweets and prioritizes your #fridayfollow recommendations based on your activity, I’d say the #fridayfollow recommendations are right on. :) I think it’s very handy.

Great post – this is exactly the type of post I always put up on Fridays as part of my “Friday Five” series. Cool resources and I like the way you did this visually instead of just providing links. Thanks!

I found your blog off @ Zaibatsu’s tweet. I didn’t even know that #FollowFriday was until a month ago; now I’m hoping to make someone’s list! Gosh, things change fast.

    Thank you,

Thanks, Brian. It’s nice to be able to compare these eight sites and see the different perspective they all show. Twitter is an amazing phenomenon!

    Thanks Brian!

The Twitter Tag Project does follow an algorithm. Queries your latest 200 tweets, counts how many are repeats, and displays them in descending order.

    Keep those post coming!
